The FTK-Centre for Information Technology (FTK-CIT), Jamia Millia Islamia is going to organize a National Conference on “Emerging Trends in Open Source Applications and Cloud Computing (OSACC – 2012)”.

This Conference is in continuation of the overwhelming success of conferences held on “Sustainable Development & Management of Information Technology in Universities and Colleges” organized by FTK-Centre for Information Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia in the years 2009, 2010 which encouraged the University to provide the same platform to all ICT Professionals working in Indian Universities and Colleges.

OSACC-2012 will provide an opportunity to researchers, academicians, corporate & industry professionals, students from Indian Universities & Colleges under one roof to discuss and debate these important issues. The Conference will include multiple technical sessions and invited talks from ICT experts and practitioners.

The objectives of the Conference are –

   Open Education Resources (OERs) and Open Source Software
    Open Source Applications
   Cloud Computing Platforms
   Implications of Cloud Computing & Open Source Applications in Educational Institutions.

The FTK-CIT invites research papers from academicians, research scholars and industry corporates. Participants desirous of presenting their Research Papers pertinent to the areas of the conference may submit the papers as per following schedule:

Imagine you have 1 Hour video. One has to watch it fully in order to all details. But what about a person who just want to view 10 minute.
So now you can create a TOC - table to content - for HTML5 video lecture. user can jump to any section by clicking on links. Here is the most basic demo.
I am sorry that I dont have good CSS because ( I am lazy and I like the concept call KISS)

We are aware that GeoGebra organisation has established GI of NCERT
(after having approval from NCERT). The objectives are development of
GeoGebra based content material, training of teachers on using
GeoGebra and research on pedagogical implications. We are working on
GeoGebra based projects since last two years and having lots of
materials with us. We need to create a platform on which we can
disseminate our materials  and can create mathematics teachers'

BTW anyone having any idea about the IIT-Kharagpur ERP ? Just realized that they are also doing some work on spring/hibernate stack.But don't know about other details.

The ERP Mission project has been sanctioned by the National Mission on Education through ICT (NMEICT), MHRD with the objective of developing an Open Source ERP System for Universities and other educational institutions. The collaborative project is led by IIT Kanpur with the other teams being Aligarh Muslim University, Dayalbagh Educati...onal Institute, IGNOU, IIT Roorkee, Jamia Millia Islamia, NIT Hamirpur and SMVDU Jammu. Under the leader of IIT Kanpur, each partner institution is actively engaged in developing of modules using Open Source Tools.
